I get a phone call later that week from Silverline asking me if I kept the old equipment, because they were not going to pay Pinnacle off and I needed to go back with them. What are you serious? They charged me two months of service and Pinnacle wants me to pay them two months of service to get reinstated. What a mess!So after a couple calls I managed to get my money back from Silverline!Beware of these tactics, make sure you call you're existing security provider first before making any changes!Yes, I agree it is a SCAM. They targeted my elderly mother, who had ADT signs in her yard AND a no solicitations sign on BOTH of her front doors. And what kind of a reputable company offers a THREE day trial on a three year contract? My mother contacted her sales rep RYAN LYMAN as in LIE MAN, should have been a hint!within her three days. He told her she had to put it in writing and mail it to the company in Utah.

”Staying current is top of mind for most manufacturers, but with so much outside of the industry competition, it is even more critical for residential security manufacturers and their dealers. “That is what guides our product development going forward,” NAPCO's Jorge Hevia says. “We want to leverage those ecosystems that exist out there with the Internet and smartphones and everything that is already in place and still come out with products that keep our professional installers relevant. We have seen a lot in 2016 with DIY and other direct to consumer models. What we are going to concentrate on is enhancing professional security or connected home experience. ”From voice to video, the “it” technology of the moment has a positive effect on dealers, says Greg Blackett, of Tyco Security Products.

Our Vivint salesman told us all of our equipment was covered by warranty for the entire length of the contract 60 months. What he didn't tell us was that it would cost $49 to have a technician come to our house to replace the broken equipment. I will admit that it is my fault for skimming the the fine print, and I mean almost unreadable fine print, on the back of the Vivint contract. It does say there that you must have the Vivint premium service package to waive the service fee. Our new Vivint doorbell camera has the same connection issues. I once again called Vivint and was told that we would need to have a repeater installed between the camera and the panel.
